Terms of Service
At Law Victim, we understand the profound impact of legal injustice and the courage it takes to seek support. Established in 2020, we are the only law publication written from the victim’s perspective, dedicated to amplifying rights, remedies, and real-world outcomes. These Terms of Service outline our commitment to protecting your voice, privacy, and agency while upholding the highest standards of advocacy and legal integrity.
- Account Management We allow users to create, manage, or terminate accounts at any time. Termination may occur if an account is used to violate our policies, such as through harassment, threats, or sharing of illegal content. Users may request termination via the Contact Us page, and we will comply promptly unless required by legal obligations.
- Content Removal Users may request removal of their content by contacting us directly. We will review all requests and act within 10 business days. Content may also be removed if it violates laws, harms others, or undermines our mission. Such removals will be documented and justified in writing.
- Data Handling We collect only essential user data (name, email, and account activity) to operate the platform. Your data is encrypted, stored securely, and never shared with third parties without explicit consent. You may request access to or deletion of your data at any time via the Contact Us page.
- Legal Compliance We comply with all applicable laws, including the CCPA and other data protection regulations. We will cooperate with lawful legal requests, such as subpoenas or court orders, but will notify users of such actions unless prohibited by law.
- Advocacy Commitment Law Victim will not remove content that exposes legal misconduct, systemic injustice, or victimization unless it involves unlawful threats, harassment, or false information. We prioritize the voices of survivors and advocates in all decisions.
- Termination of Services Termination of an account does not erase your right to seek legal remedies. We retain anonymized data for legal compliance but will delete personal information upon request, subject to applicable laws.
Our mission is to empower victims, advocates, and social workers with the tools and knowledge to reclaim their rights. We recognize the vulnerability of those who seek justice and are unwavering in our duty to protect your autonomy, dignity, and safety. Trust in our advocacy, and know that your story matters.
